L&T bags Rs 5689 crore order; shares gain - NDTV

NDTV | Updated On: April 01, 2013 10:15 (IST) Larsen & Toubro shares gained 2.6 per cent after the company said it has received a Rs 5,689 crore contract for supercritical power plant in Rajasthan. L&T secured the order from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Nigam for setting up two 660 MW thermal power project. The order involves design, engineering, manufacturing, supply and commissioning of the two thermal units, the company said.   L&T shares were up 2.4 per cent to Rs 1,399 as of 10.10 a.m., outperforming the broader BSE Capital goods index, which traded 2 per cent higher.
