NEW DELHI: The much-awaited spectrum auction will begin on January 23, 2014, a process critical for top operators such as Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India, who will be keen to retain airwaves in the 900 Mhz band in circles such as Delhi and Kolkata where their permits expire late next year.
