Wipro Q4 net grows 28.8 pc to Rs 2,226.50 cr

17.4.2014 (UNI) Software services firm Wipro reported a growth of 28.8 per cent in its net profit to Rs 2,226.50 crore during the quarter ended March 31, 2014.
It had posted a profit after tax of Rs 1,728.70 crore during the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal, the Bangalore-based firm said.
Net sales rose 21.7 per cent to Rs 11,703.60 crore during the fourth quarter of financial year 2013-14 from Rs 9,613.1 crore a year earlier.
"The steady improvement in global economy, coupled with the exciting pace of technological advancements, presents us with opportunities to create innovative solutions to help our customers differentiate, compete and succeed in their respective markets," Wipro Chairman Azim Premji said in a release.
For 2013-14, profit increased by 17.5 per cent to Rs 7,796.70 crore, while revenue surged 16.1 per cent to Rs 43,754.90 crore.
Wipro declared a final dividend of Rs 5 per share, taking the total for the year to Rs 8. UNI
