Cong MP praises father's leadership in Haryana - Times of India

SHARE AND DISCUSS CHANDIGARH: Congress MP from Rohtak, Deepender Singh Hooda on Saturday praised the functioning of Congress government in Haryana led by his father Bhupinder Singh Hooda. "Under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, state is fast emerging as an education hub," said Deepender Singh. He was interacting with the media persons soon after laying the foundation stone of Ch. Ranbir Singh College at Kosli in district Rewari on Saturday. He also expressed his gratitude to Haryana chief minister for his decision to set up Indira Gandhi University at Meerpur in district Rewari. He said that district Rewari was becoming a leading district in the field of education. The present state government had taken a number of steps to strengthen the educational infrastructure in the state. He said that during the last eight years, five new government colleges have been set up in district Rewari which included Government College for Girls, Rewari, Government College, Guravda, Kharkada and Kosli whereas, only three Government Colleges have been set up in the district during a period of 60 years after independence . Similarly, prior to 2005, there was no Government Polytechnic Institute in the district whereas; the present State Government had set up first Government Polytechnic at Lisana in the district. Deepender Singh disclosed that a new Government Polytechnic would also be set up at village Bhamlawas. He said that the State government has also decided to set up Government Engineering College at Jainabad-Dahina named after former Chief Minister Rao Virender Singh. Five new ITIs have also been set up in the district. Recently Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has announced to restart agriculture college, Bawal.
