Jaypee Infratech Q4 net profit down 57% at Rs 148 crore - NDTV

New Delhi: Jaypee Infratech reported on Saturday a 57.48 per cent fall in its standalone net profit at Rs 148.51 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013, largely due to many fold increase in its interest outgo. The company, which operates the Yamuna Expressway project, had clocked Rs 349.30 crore net profit in the year-ago period. Net sales of the company were up 4.09 per cent at Rs 958.23 crore during the quarter vis-a-vis Rs 920.50 crore of the corresponding quarter of FY'12, it said in a filing to the BSE. The interest outgo of the company increased 14.74 times to Rs 243.52 crore during the quarter as against Rs 14.74 crore of the Q4 of FY'12. Besides, its expenses amounted to over 56 per cent of its net sales at Rs 539.94 crore during the quarter. For the financial year ended March, 2013, the company reported over 46 per cent decline in its standalone net profit at Rs 694.46 crore, while its net s ales was up 3.75 per cent at Rs 3,274.34 crore.
