| Mumbai, July 1: Indian markets were trading up by over 0.6 per cent in the mid-session on Monday led by realty, power, metal and capital goods stocks amid firm European cues. At 2.30 p.m., the 30-share BSE index Sensex was up 126.75 points (0.65 per cent) at 19,522.56 and the 50-share NSE index Nifty was up 34.35 points (0.59 per cent) at 5,876.55. Among BSE sectoral indices, realty and power indices gained the most and were up 4.03 per cent and 2.46 per cent, respectively, followed by capital goods 2.13 per cent and metal 1.77 per cent. On the other hand, IT and TECk indices lost investors' support and were down 1.56 per cent and 0.46 per cent, respectively. Among 30-share Sensex, Sterlite, Tata Motors, Maruti, Jindal Steel and NTPC were the top five gainers, while the top five losers were TCS, Infosys, ONGC, Sun Pharma and HDFC Bank. European stocks were little changed, after their first weekly gain since May 17, as Euro Zone factory output contracted in June less than initially estimated. Most Asian shares were up. Investors were worried over Chinese economy as China's manufacturing expanded at the slowest pace in four months in June as a cash squeeze in the banking system reduced the flow of credit to companies. The HSBC/Markit Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for June declined to 48.2, the lowest level since September 2012 and down from May's final reading of 49.2. Stoxx 50 was down 1.11 points or 0.04 per cent at 2,601.48, FTSE 100 was up 17.94 points or 0.29 per cent at 6,233.41 and DAX was down 33.59 points or 0.42 per cent at 7,925.63. Japan's Nikkei 225 rose 175.18 points or 1.28 per cent to 13,852.50, while Singapore's Straits Times was down 2.40 points or 0.08 per cent at 3,148.04 and South Korea's Kospi was down 7.59 points or 0.41 per cent at 1,855.73.
