AirAsia India discussed the possibility of a launch in December in its first board meeting held in Mumbai on Saturday. Sources in the know said that the issue regarding the Tata group launching another airline with Singapore Airlines (SIA) was not discussed.
In a related development, AirAsia group CEO Tony Fernandes said in a Twitter post on Saturday that he had no issues with the proposed airline by Tata group and SIA. "I have and continue to have no issue on SIA and Tatas. No difference to Ginger and Taj hotels. These are two very separate business," he said.
