Total bids received by the government for spectrum during the auctions increased from Rs. 105000 crore on Monday to Rs. 1,09,000 crore on Tuesday On Tuesday, a total of six rounds of bidding were completed, taking the total number of rounds in the auction so far to 110.
"About 89 per cent of the spectrum has been provisionally allocated to bidders. The provisional amount committed by bidders at the end of 110th round is over Rs 1,09,000 crore," Department of Telecom said in a statement.
It added that the bidding is taking place in all bands.
During the 18 days of auction, for the first time excess demand was not seen in any of the service circles in any band at the end of the day, due to which it is likely that auction will resume without any price increment on Wednesday.
